RECEIPT OF BIDS: Separate sealed BIDS or Electronic Submittal using Bidnet Direct for the construction of 2024 Roadway Project will be received by Sam Kelly, City Engineer at the City of Orem, Engineering Division, 56 North State, Orem, UT 84057, or opened electronically on Bidnet Direct until February 8th, 2024 at 3:00 pm and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The preferred method for submitting a bid is by using Bidnet Direct at https://www.bidnetdirect.com/ (Select the search bar > > enter “City of Orem” > Enter).
BIDDING QUESTIONS – Use Bidnet Direct to submit questions and download documents relating to bid items, specifications, and other technical questions. The project manager is Mauro Choquevillca, [801-729-3525]. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on January 30th, 2024 at 3:00 pm.
OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained January 18th, 2024 on Bidnet Direct or at the City of Orem, Engineering Division, Development Services Offices, 56 North State Street, Orem, UT 84057. There is no fee from the City to obtain the documents on Bidnet Direct. There will be a $20.00 non-refundable fee for a copy of the plans and specification. (An additional $5.00 service charge will be assessed if the plans and specifications are to be mailed).
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The WORK includes the installation of 3 standard sumps, 1 standard box catch basin, 2 pre-treatment catch basin, 45 linear feet of 12” SDR35 PVC storm drain pipe, 125 linear feet of 15” Class III RCP storm drain pipe, 87145 square yards asphalt section 1 ½” Edge Mill and 2” Overlay (1/2” PG 64-34), 25534 square yards asphalt section 2” Profile Mill and 2” Overlay (1/2” PG 64-34), 5514 square yards roadway excavation and reconstruction 5” asphalt (1/2” PG 64-34), adjust 118 existing manhole to finished grade w/ concrete collar, adjust 125 existing water valve to finished grade w/ concrete collar, and other various improvements . The engineer’s estimate for the work is $2,500,000 – $3,000,000.
SITE OF WORK: The site of the WORK is located at 2000 N (from Main Street to Heather Road), Main Street (from 800 North to 1600 North), 400 East (from Center Street to 400 South), 400 South (from 400 East to 800 East), 1000 East (from 400 North to Center Street), Center Street (from 1000 East to 1180 East), 1500 West (Center Street to 130 South), 130 South (from 1500 West to South Mountain Way Dr), 200 East (from 1400 South to 1600 South), and Key Ridge Circle.
