Parker attended a one week Fire Pumps and Accessories class and obtained his EVT certification. This became very helpful that both he and Robbie had obtained this training when recently they were able to completely disassemble and repair the transfer case on one of the fire engines. This one repair saved the City an estimated $5,000 – $8,000 and three weeks of vehicle downtime. In the future they will be able to continue these types of repairs as needed.
Eight new patrol vehicles have arrived. Seven of them are complete and are now in use. The last one should be done next week.
