- On Monday, March 25 the City of Orem Economic Development Department sponsored a table at the EDCUtah Site Selectors Guild Dinner to build relationships with three national site selectors. In addition to the site selectors, the following attended the dinner: Ryan Clark, Mayor Brunst, Kathi Beckett, and three local developers / real estate representatives to represent Orem: Arthur Woodbury – University Place, Justin Farnsworth – Canyon Park Technology Center, and Jarrod Hunt – Orem Technology Campus. It was a successful event and positive connections were made with the national site selectors.
- On Wednesday, March 27, the economic development department hosted a Commercial Property Assessed clean energy (C-PACE) workshop for Orem businesses. The workshop was led by Shawna Cuan, Managing Director of the Governor’s Office of Energy Development. Seven individuals were in attendance to learn about the C-Pace low-cost, long-term financing option for energy efficiency, renewal energy, and water conservation projects on commercial buildings.
- Plans are well underway for the last major Orem Centennial event, the Centennial Birthday Party, on Saturday, May 4, 2019.
