2025 Crack Seal Project

RECEIPT OF BIDS:  Separate sealed BIDS or Electronic Submittal using Bidnet Direct for the work of the 2025 Crack Seal Project will be received by Taggart Bowen, City Engineer at the City of Orem, Engineering Division, 56 North State, Orem, UT 84057, or opened electronically on Bidnet Direct until October 8, 2024 at 2:30pm and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The preferred method for submitting a bid is by using Bidnet Direct at bidnetdirect.com (select the search bar > > enter “city of Orem” > Enter).

OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained September 17, 2024 on Bidnet Direct under 2025 Crack Seal Project or at the City of Orem, Engineering Division, Development Services Offices, 56 North State Street, Orem, UT 84057.  There is no fee from the City to obtain the documents on Bidnet Direct.  There will be a $15 non-refundable fee for a copy of the plans and specifications. (An additional $5.00 service charge will be assessed if the plans and specifications are to be mailed).

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:  The WORK will consist of crack sealing in various locations. The budget is approximately $375,000. SITE OF WORK:  The site of the WORK is located at various locations in Orem.

2023 Roadway Project

RECEIPT OF BIDS:  Separate sealed BIDS or Electronic Submittal using Bidnet Direct for the construction of the 2023 Roadway Project will be received by Sam Kelly, City Engineer at the City of Orem, Engineering Division, 56 North State, Orem, UT 84057, or opened electronically on Bidnet Direct until April 20, 2023 at 10:00 am and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The preferred method for submitting a bid is by using Bidnet Direct at bidnetdirect.com (Select the search bar > > enter “City of Orem” > Enter).

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on April 6, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the City Center, 56 North State Street, Orem, UT 84057 in the Development Services Conference Room.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:  The WORK includes 89,180 square yards of 1 ½” edge mill with a 2” overlay, 4,210 square yards of a 2” profile mill with a 2” overlay, 13,000 square yards of roadway excavation and roadway reconstruction, 3,000 tons of leveling course, adjusting approximately 132 manholes and 142 water valves to grade with concrete collars. The WORK also includes storm improvements, which include the installation of 2 standard box’s, 7 pre-treatments, 3 storm manholes, 7 3×3 storm boxes, 185 linear feet of 12” storm pipe, 605 linear feet of 15” RCP storm pip, 1,015 linear feet of 18” RCP storm pipe, and other various improvements. The engineer’s estimate for the work is $3,200,000 to $3,600,000.

SITE OF WORK:  The site of the WORK is located at 1200 S. (College Way to State St.), 800 S. (State Street to 800 East), 400 S. (Orem Blvd. to State St.), 1500 W. (Center St. to 130 S.) 130 S. (1500 W. to Mountain Way Dr.), 1600 N. (400 E. to 800 E.), and Skyline Dr. (1600 N. to Heather Rd.)
