BIKE SKILLS TRAILS PARK
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The City of Orem is accepting sealed proposals from qualified and licensed Building Contractors for the construction of the new City of Orem Bike-Skills Trails Park. This Request for Proposal (RFP) is to obtain the services of a trail/feature builder to cut the corridor for the trails system, determine and flag the precise trail placement based on the predetermined 10 ft. corridor, construct the trail system, design and build the features in the trail system, design and install the signs for the trail system, and build the fence surrounding the trail system.
OBTAINING PROPOSAL DOCUMENTS: Proposal documents will be available online on June 18, 2018 at purchasing.utah.gov (select the search bar > select Current Bids > enter “Orem” > select search.) There will be a mandatory pre-proposal meeting on Thursday, July 5th at 3:00 p.m. at the Mt. Timpanogos Park parking lot located on US-189 in Orem, Utah. The purpose of this meeting will be to show the proposed location of the bike park, walk through the trail system, and answer any questions about the park design and RFP.
RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS: Sealed proposals will then be accepted online at Sciquest or by the Office of Purchasing, 56 North State Street, Orem, Utah 84057 until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018. Proposals submitted after this deadline will be rejected. Upon review, the business best meeting the needs of the City will be contacted for further action. The City of Orem reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or any part of any proposal if it is deemed to be in the best interests of the City.

It is anticipated that construction will begin after all contract documents are signed and returned to the City. Construction must be completed by November 17, 2018. The contractor awarded the bid will be expected to provide payment and performance bonds for the full amount of the contract price.
