A Message from the Director

Every business and organization is faced with constant change; opportunities are made from how well we manage and plan during these times of change. 2008 provided many challenges for Public Works and I’m proud of the Department Employee’s who turned these challenges into opportunities. Once again they showed that they are in control of achieving their goals and understand our mission, which is to help our fellow citizens build and preserve a community in which we all want to live.

As you read through the pages of this website, you will see many of the activities the employees of Public Works. They are professionals in what they do, they are centered in people both citizens and co-workers. I express my appreciation to them for giving their very best effort every time, all the time.

I also thank members of the Summerfest Commission, Golf Course Advisory Board, Metropalitan Water District of Orem Board, the Beautification Commission, along with the Public Works staff which supports these groups. They give their very best and it makes a difference in Orem.
