Good Neighbor Award

Everyone wants to have good neighbors. Good neighbors make your home life more enjoyable and increase safety and security in your neighborhood. Whether you live in Townhouse, Condo, Apartment or Single Family Subdivision, the best way to have good neighbors is to be one.

  • This award is being given to thank those who daily go the extra mile to be a good neighbor.
  • The Award will be given to a person or family on a rotating monthly basis to each District in each of our 21 Neighborhoods.
  • The Neighborhood Chair will take nominations/suggestions from the District Chairs and will make the final decision on the recipient.
  • A personalized Neighborhood sign and/or a certificate will be available to each Neighborhood.
  • The Good Neighbor recipients will be recognized in the City newsletter and on our Orem City Website.

The following document contains suggestions that will help the folks in your neighborhood be more aware of things they can do to make their Neighborhood a better place to live.

Beautify your Neighborhood . . . a well kept home and yard is a Good Neighbor!

The City of Orem is a very robust City. There are issues and concerns that often will effect many neighborhoods. To make sure that you have the information you need to actively participate and lend your voice please consult the following resources.

Good Neighbor Award Guidelines

The City of Orem currently has 21 Neighborhood Organizations which provide our citizens the opportunity to work together at the grassroots level. These Neighborhood Organizations work on initiatives that directly benefit their own Neighborhoods and ultimately strengthen the entire City. Volunteers, through their Neighborhood Organizations, are the building blocks that make our City strong. We are proud of the volunteers who devote valuable time and energy in making a difference in their Neighborhoods! We encourage you to view the Neighborhoods in Action Map, determine the Neighborhood in which you live, then VOLUNTEER!

Sincerely,
